Getting There

Buri Ram Airport lies around seventy kilometres from Surin, usually just over an hour by car. Flights connect it with Bangkok Don Mueang several times a day. The hotel offers a transfer for about 3,000 baht per vehicle, which suits families or groups. Rental cars at the airport are another option.

Surin Railway Station, about six minutes by car, lies on the line between Bangkok and Ubon Ratchathani. Trains from Bangkok take around seven to eight hours, and overnight sleeper trains are comfortable. Booking sleepers in advance is wise during festivals. Tuk-tuks wait at the station.

Buses from Bangkok's Mo Chit terminal reach Surin in around six to seven hours. VIP buses offer reclining seats and refreshments.

Tuk-tuks, songthaews and samlors cover short distances in town. Fares should be agreed before departure.

Ride hailing apps have limited coverage in Surin, so the hotel can call a trusted taxi or driver.

Renting a car is the best way to reach temples, silk villages and Ban Ta Klang. Roads are generally good.

Travel near the Cambodian border was affected by clashes and crossing closures in 2025, so checking current advice before going there is essential.
